24 HOURS EVERYONE!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

A week ago I asked you to make a wish at 11:11. Pretty random I know.

I want you to do that again today. Only this time I'm going to share WHY I am asking you to make a wish.

I wrote this song for my best friend many years ago. That's a white lie actually, she's not my best friend. She is my sister.

Liv and Maddie has the Sisters by Chance, Friends by Choice picture. Well my relationship with this friend was the reverse. She is my Friend by Chance, Sister by Choice. SO I am going to call her my sister for the rest of this.

My sister and I were inseparable for years. We did absolutely everything together. We practically lived at each other's houses. My sister would count down the days to Christmas throughout the whole year. It didn't matter if it was June, she always knew how many days till Christmas.

My sister also had a reminder set for 11:11 twice a day to make a wish. Every time the reminder came off she would announce so excited "It's 11:11! Make a wish!!!!" I have heard her say that so many times the memory is permanently engraved, like an invisible tattoo. I figure such a vivid memory of that kind of whimsy deserves a spot in the song.

"If I could go make a wish, 11:11, let me hold on to this"

That is a lyric in the bridge of the song.

My sister never knew what I would wish for, cause if you say what you wish for it may not come true. I ALWAYS wished that we would always be best friends.

I'm sharing it now because all friendships have there ups and downs, and ours definitely did. I have written many songs about those as well so if you want to know more about what those challenges were listen to my music.

"People drift apart, nothing lasts forever. Promise you'll stand by me forever."

A line I wrote during one of our ups and downs. Things were changing, and I was scared. Now I'm not so scared anymore. I will always love her like a sister, she will always play an important part in my life. This song is a reminder of that for myself. It's a way for me to thank her for absolutely everything. I wouldn't be who I am if she wasn't in my life. Whatever life throws our way we will get through it.

Our friendship might be different now, but we need to evolve and grow. There was a time I thought my wish wouldn't come true. Now I feel confident I got my wish, even if things aren't exactly how I imagined them.

My sister is my home. My sister makes me feel whole. My sister deserves to know that.
